BREEDING BABY SIAMESE FIGHTING FISH/ BETTA FISH! SIX STEPS!

STEP 2

A difficulty which you may have right from the start is to find a female Siamese fighting fish/ betta fish. Not too many pet stores sell them.

When you do find one your next job is to obtain the right fish tank.

You do not want one of those fish bowl aquariums. Try and get a long rectangular fish tank that is designed for breeding Siamese fighting fish/betta fish.

I have been told that these fish tanks contain a slit down the middle which will separate the female from the male before they can start breeding.

Male Siamese fighting fish/ betta fish are very territorial and aggressive, so you must separate them in the beginning.

Do not place them in the same tank together.

Try and buy your fish that seem to have some energy. This will increase their chances of spawning. Tell your pet store owner or salesperson that you are hoping to breed and that you want your fish that are between seven and eighteen months old.
