A ‘YELLOW’ Siamese fighting fish/Betta fish!!

Welcome to the world of the Siamese Fighting Fish. Free tips about keeping Siamese fighting fish. Lots of Siamese fighting fish news and much much more on Siamese fighting fish, your Home and family pet’s home.

The ‘yellow’ colored Siamese fighting fish/betta fish is a color which can range anywhere from an almost clear to a bright ‘butter-yellow’, which covers the whole body and fins.

The ‘cellophane’ color in its pure form is a very pale ‘yellow’. If you breed with this color it can increase finnage and body size. It doesn’t carry any color genes that would affect your reason for using it.

A very nice color and a desirable one to breed is the ‘chocolate’ colored Siamese fighting fish/betta fish.

This color is between ‘black and yellow’ and can be ‘dark brown’ to a ‘light brown’, almost ‘yellow’.

Welcome to the world of the Siamese Fighting Fish. Free tips about keeping Siamese fighting fish. Lots of Siamese fighting fish news and much much more on Siamese fighting fish, your Home and family pet’s home.

In this series of posts I will tell you more about the different colors that you can find in your Siamese fighting fish.

The most common colors are ‘Red’ where the fins and body are bright red, paling out at the gills and head.

You also get the extended ‘Red’ in which the ‘red’ coloration extends past the gill plates and head.

‘Royal Blue’ is where the body and fins are a dark ‘royal blue’, ending at the gill plates.
The head is usually dark ‘grey-black’. ‘Red’ will be seen on the fins.

‘Turquoise’ colored Siamese fighting fish/ Betta fish have a faded bright ‘green’ throughout the body ending at the gills and the head is that of a ‘blue’ betta (i.e. ‘greyish-black).

The ‘Steel blue’ color is where the body and fins have a light ‘grey-dark gunmetal blue’ color ending at the gills and head, which are the same as the ‘royal blue’.

It is a color which is prone to ‘red’ wash!

Introducing!! A ‘CROWN TAIL’ Siamese fighting fish/ Betta fish!

Welcome to the world of the Siamese Fighting Fish. Free tips about keeping Siamese fighting fish. Lots of Siamese fighting fish news and much much more on Siamese fighting fish, your Home and family pet’s home.

The ‘CROWN TAIL’ is one of the newest and most expensive of the tail types you can get!

Breeders of this tail type of Betta fish can expect big amounts of money for their fish!

The tail is highly frilled with extended spiny rays.

It shows the fins rays extending past the webbing of the fins.

You get a ‘single’ ray which extends past the webbing and then you get the ‘double’ ray which has each ray dividing into two rays at the webbing.

The ‘triple’ ray is a very rare find. The rays divide into three at the webbing.

The last one is a ‘double double’ ray and is very expensive!

Here you will find the rays divide into two at the webbing, and then each of the two split rays will divide into two again, looking like four rays. The number of rays is counted on the caudal fin only, as the dorsal and anal fins only have single rays coming off the webbing.

You can see this tail type in combination with ‘double tails’ and any of the ‘delta tails’ and ‘half moon’ types!

Two other types of tail are the ‘fantail’ which is a rounded ‘delta tail’ and a ‘short- finned fighting style tail’ which is sometimes called ‘plakat’!

As you can see, if you start breeding your Siamese fighting fish/ Betta fish it can be very rewarding and very profitable.
